Perennials

A perennial plant is one that survives for more than two years. As such, perennials can provide the groundwork for a garden or permaculture design. The following years can be spent filling in the empty space, either with more perennial seeds and plants or with annual varieties. Poppies are technically an annual, but as they re-seed on their own, you can treat them as a perennial.
