Delphinium Elatum

A soft, pale lilac-pink Cherry Blossom with white centres ("bees"), perfect for spring or fall arrangements. The delicate pastel colour pairs beautifully with spring palettes and adds an elegant touch to bouquets and design work.

Compact plants tolerate wind well and attract both bees and butterflies.
Also known as Candle Larkspur.
Often grown as an annual. Short-lived perennial in Zones 3–7.

How to Grow:

Transplant (recommended): Sow 10–16 weeks before planting out. Lightly cover seeds, as they require darkness to germinate. Transplant into larger cell packs or 3–4" containers 6–8 weeks after germination. Grow seedlings at 18–21°C in a greenhouse or cold frame.

Harden off and transplant outdoors after the last frost. Support is strongly advised—use horizontal trellising (such as Hortonova) positioned 12–18" above the beds. In heated structures, maintain temperatures below 16°C to prevent legginess. Feed regularly with a balanced fertilizer.

Direct seeding is not recommended.
