Snapdragon ' Double Frappe Light Pink 2'

Early, double-flowering, and light pink. A very exciting development in snapdragon breeding, pairing the popular double-flower form and light pink color with earliness and a high degree of uniformity. A softer pink than other double-flowering pink snapdragons. Uniform flowering time and excellent quality blooms. Group 2 snapdragon bred for optimal performance when grown under lower light and cooler temperatures. Recommended for early spring, fall, or winter production indoors or where winter growing is possible.

Compared to the Madame Butterfly series, Double Frappe is earlier to flower and more uniform in quality. Its lovely soft pink color is unique and absent from the Madame Butterfly series. Double or Azalea type flower. A must-grow!

How to Grow:

Indoors (recommended) - Surface-sow into seedling container, 8-10 weeks before last frost. Light is required for germination; cover just enough to hold seeds in place. Harden off and transplant out after danger of frost has passed. Pinching encourages branching. Light is required for germination, but a fine layer of vermiculite covering the seeds can maintain moisture levels and prevent algae growth. Bottom water or mist lightly to avoid covering the seed with displaced soil. If desired, for a bushier plant that produces more flower-producing side branches, pinch young plants back by half their height when plants have formed 4-6 leaves or are approximately 3-4 inches tall. Pinching will delay the crop time by a few weeks. If pinching, space plants 6-12 inches apart. Direct seeding is not recommended.
