Amaranth 'Emerald Tassels'

Ropes of lime-green, trailing blooms add striking colour and texture to fresh bouquets or large containers. When dried, the blooms shift from green to a light tan, making them perfect for fall arrangements. A beautiful complement to Coral Fountain and Love-Lies-Bleeding (Red Pearls), all of which share similar plant habits, days to maturity, and strong presence in floral designs. Also known as Tassel Flower. For straight stems when drying, hang blooms upside down.

HOW TO GROW:

Transplant - Sow 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Barely cover seed. Bottom water or mist to avoid covering seeds with displaced soil. Harden off by growing at 17-18°C (62-65°F) and transplant outside after last frost.
Direct seed - After last frost, sow thinly, barely covering the seed. When seedlings have first true leaves, thin to 12-15" apart.
