Bronzed Beauty Calendula (Calendula officinalis 'Bronzed Beauty')
Bronzed Beauty lives up to its name, offering soft peachy-cream petals kissed with a reverse cranberry stripe and encircling a rich chocolate-brown eye. While the blooms are slightly smaller than other varieties, their elegant cup shape and long, sturdy stems make them a florist’s favorite. This variety blends vintage charm with versatility, shining equally in the garden and in hand-tied bouquets.
Calendulas are among the fastest blooms to reward from seed—often flowering in as little as two months. Also known as English Marigold or Pot Marigold, they attract pollinators and beneficial insects. The petals are edible, useful as a natural dye, and treasured for medicinal and skincare applications.
Pair Bronzed Beauty with creamy ivory snapdragons for softness, deep burgundy cosmos for rich contrast, or airy blue nigella for a romantic, cottage-garden feel.

HOW TO GROW:
Direct Seed (recommended): Sow seeds directly outdoors after the last frost. For continuous blooms, make 2–3 successive sowings 2–3 weeks apart, from summer through to heavy frost.
Transplant (alternative): Start seeds indoors 4–5 weeks before the last frost. Harden off seedlings by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions before transplanting outdoors after the last frost.
Pinching: Pinching the tops of young plants can encourage a bushier habit and more blooms. Deadhead spent blooms.
Soil Preference and Watering: Calendula prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is very adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions. Water consistently, but avoid overwatering.
Fertilizing: Fertilizing is not required for Calendula. It performs best in average to lean soil.
Harvesting: Harvest calendula flowers when they are fully open. The petals are edible and can be used to garnish salads or other dishes.
Other Tips: Calendula may self-seed if allowed to mature at season’s end.
